SLJ Tanerore
Hi Guys,
Today we were told to make a Kowhaiwhai. To make this we had a template we cloud use to help us or make it by and. I found the template really easy. To do this you also had to rotate your Koru.
My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter for the Summer Learning Journey.
I thought this activity was very interesting as it teaches you about Tānerore who you are able to see often on these hot summer days and about the infamous kowhaiwhai pattern seen throughout Māori culture. I was glad to read what you had learnt about Tānerore, have you seen him in the hot air yet this summer?
I think your kowhaiwhai pattern looks awesome and I like that you use the koru pattern and mirrored and rotated it, it kind of looks like waves.
Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.
